365 Legion 1000 Round Review Login/Join

I picked up the 365 Legion at the end of August, and after putting over 1000 rounds through it, I’ve got some thoughts to share. The gun is equipped with a Holosun 507, which I think really enhances its performance.

First off, this is by far the flattest-shooting and most accurate pistol I’ve ever fired. It even outperforms my friend’s Glock in terms of precision, which says a lot since I shoot my friend’s Glock exceptionally well. Keeping the 365 Legion on target feels effortless due to its minimal muzzle flip and highly manageable recoil.

After cycling through more than 1000 rounds consisting of PMC Bronze 115 grain FMJ, CCI Bulk 115 grain FMJ, Winchester Ranger 124 grain +P, and Federal HST 124 grain, I’m happy to report that the gun functioned flawlessly. There were absolutely zero malfunctions. No stovepipes, failures to fire, feed, or eject. The reliability is truly impressive.

The compact size of this pistol belies its performance. It has the hand feel of a much larger gun and shoots like a full-sized pistol while still being incredibly easy to conceal. It doesn’t print unless I bend over, and it’s surprisingly comfortable to carry. The 17+1 capacity is exceptional for a gun this small. Initially, loading the 17th round by hand was impossible until I reached around 1000 rounds through three mags. The spring in the mags finally relaxed enough to make it doable, though I did invest in an Uplula, which made loading during range days significantly easier and more enjoyable. I also give some credit to the Holosun for helping me acquire and reacquire my target faster.

One of the standout features of the 365 Legion is its grips. They’re incredibly grippy without being uncomfortable. You can get a secure purchase on the gun, but it doesn’t tear up your hands after extended use. Even when carrying concealed, it feels fine against the skin. No worries about it feeling like a cheese grater.
During my last range session, I started at 10 yards and walked in to 7 yards while firing. Typically, I had about 10 rounds left when I reached the 7 yard mark. To test myself and ensure I wasn’t anticipating recoil, I randomly loaded snap caps into my mags. I caught myself flinching a few times but overall, I’ve made good progress. I even rapid-fired (full mag dump) while walking, and to my surprise, kept all my shots on target. Some targets have fewer than 17 holes due to the snap caps, but I was impressed that I didn’t miss any shots.

In summary, this has been my 1000-round experience with the 365 Legion, and I’m beyond satisfied.

That's pretty impressive performance. Looks like a keeper. Is that the aluminum frame model?

I'm considering one myself, the price tag is not helping.

I love mine and have a couple thousand rounds thru it all reloads, only issue I have had is the last shot to hold open the slide, so far I have two magazines that the followers do not go to the top floor they lack about 1/16 of an inch, sig did replace the one mag and I'm going to send them the second one.

I have 12 mags for it but only use 4 the others are still in the boxes, not sure if this is a fluke thing but other than that it's by far my favorite pistol I also have the 365 x macro tac ops, the legion defiantly has less recoil shooting them side by side.

Bean - Thanks for posting these photos and details.

I have a Macro that has a Romeo Zero mounted on it and the 2MOA dot is just to small for my old eyes. I did not know the 507 series red dots would fit on the 365 side, I thought I was limited to the 407 series. This is great because I have a 507 Green dot on my IDPA gun so I am gonna have to order me one for my 265 Macro.

Thanks again for sharing this great 1000 round review. Like XLT, I love my 365, 365X, and the 365 Macro.

Nice report, I’d like to shoot one sometime… may have to rent one at the range.

Nice bit of work with the walk and shoot. I shoot a lot worse doing a 10-5meter walk with my M17.

Thank for the write up. Did you mount the optic or was that a factory install?

Thanks. I was pretty happy with the results.

I installed the optic myself.

Here are a couple targets that were 7 yard standing and aiming without any bracing.
