got2hav1Thanks fellas. If you'll notice the photo of the P229 shows a drop in 9mm barrel. I have since re installed the original .40 barrel. It had a non original box and 3 really nice magazines marked P229 .40/.357. So if I understand correctly I can buy a Sig .357 barrel and can shoot either calibler. Do you have to change the recoil spring or is the original .40 spring sufficent to shoot Sig .357 ? Thanks.

KobrenThe one I like the best is the senior member of the family the 1977 9mm P-220.

Notice the pinched nose and fixed sight on this one. Until I found this one I didn't know these existed.

PerceptionThat 220 is beautiful. I narrowly missed an opportunity to take home a 220 just like that almost for free a number of years ago. It was the most naturally accurate gun I've ever fired. I don't consider myself much of a marksman, but with it I felt like I couldn't miss.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in." January 27, 2023, 10:54 AM
got2hav1Perception, this one shoots great as well. Been a while since I've had it out. I should take it for a spin soon. You inspired me to do so.
