Does anyone make ammo in 5.56 or 300 Blackout specifically designed to burn completely in a short barrel? I'm interested in supersonic, self defense ammo. Anyone? I don’t recall ever seeing ammunition whose factory specifications included burning all the powder in a specific barrel length, but Hornady has a supersonic 5.56mm NATO load that’s advertised as being optimized for short barrels. That's what I ordered, in 110gr 300 Blackout. No mention of barrel length tested but it says optimized for rifle, pistol, and suppressor use. It looks like a good choice for SD ammo.
