Turkish 7.62 NATO, please be careful with this. It’s hotter than American made ammo. Do not use in an FAL. The gunsmith here showed me the bulged case. The FAL is essentially new. The ammo is good, just be careful. Luckily the rifle was locked up with know real damage.

Interesting. I got several hundred rounds of the Turkish ZQI/MKE 7.62 NATO ammo when Walmart had it on clearance ~8 years ago, and I fired all of it through my FAL and M1A with no ill effects.

Therefore it sounds like it's an issue with that specific FAL and/or that specific batch of ammo, not with all FALs and all MKE ammo in general.

It has to be the batch, the FAL works great with other ammo.
