still_bill.32 rim lock
Is rim lock a real problem with the shorter defensive ammo in .32 pistols?

Delta-3Mostly when using HP bullets. They are usually a bit shorter than FMJ & if your not paying attention when loading the mag you can induce rim lock. Just watch how you load the magazine & it'll help alleviate the issue.
I'm a big fan of .32 & have never experienced it.

Excam_ManKel-Tec makes a spacer to install in their p32 mag to remedy this exact failure.

still_billI have called them before posting.
Talk with a nice lady. They did but stopped. The same with their 10 round mags.
Thanks

dinoochI have a KelTec P32 and always use FMJ in it. I have never had a rim lock. I have an NAA Guardian that loves jhp ammo but I also use FMJ in that gun as well just to avoid the issue even though I've never had a rim lock in that gun either. FMJ ammo is best in a 32acp anyways IMHO.
