Anyone tried out the DA CT5P yet?

I was watching some YT videos on CanCon 26 (I couldn't make it - thanks for scheduling on Mothers Day weekend, guys), and I overheard one of the DA guys saying about the CT5P something like "we took everything we learned about the Laz 6 and improved on it".

It's a little lighter than the Lazarus 6 and has Keymo, Xeno, and 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 direct thread mount options available.

I don't have a Lazarus, only a Sierra 5, and I'm thinking about picking one up.

Phone's ringing, Dude.

I'm curious, too. I was debating between this and a Sandman X for a 12.5" AR with a FRT.

The Sandman has a bit more versatility, being .30 cal and having a HUB. The trade-off is it's 0.5" longer and 0.2oz heavier (woopty doo); since it's .30 cal, it also likely will be slightly louder. Since all I use at the moment is Xeno, it may be nice to not have to screw with keeping a HUB tight. The CT5P has all of the mounting options, but once you pick one, that's it.

Handled one today. Reminds me of a Lazarus with a Zeno mount.

Isn't that exactly what it is a Lazarus slimmed down by killing the Hub compatability?

Dealer said “no no no it’s improvement” but, as far as I can see. Just a smidge lighter

That's the impression I get, but there may be more to it.

They're available in Xeno, Keymo, and Direct Thread 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 mounts. Removing the Hub adapters reduces weight and, I assume, optimizes gas flow. Since they're printing them, I'd assume it's just as easy to print one as another. I don't know how it would affect carbon lock.

The suppressor is being marketed as a patrol ready suppressor so they are dealing with weight by cutting the hub. For the price on the guardian program they probably are trying to own the “patrol” market.

I’ll probably order one through the Guardian program this week and put it on a 16 inch gun just to see. Most of their promo videos show the can mounted on what appears to be 14.5 and 16 inch guns. With a couple of 11.5s thrown in for good measure. As big a fan as I am of the Lazarus, I’m in on this.
