bought a passel of the 205gr Gamekings to use for subs in 300blk. They were super accurate at 12gr of Acc 1680 and 1100fps. My goal was the fastest I could get them without going supersonic. I fired 2-5rd groups and both were 1.10" which is pretty good for subs at 125 yards. I then tried them subsonic in 308 Win and had similar results but the accuracy was no where near as good (2.5"). But thats not were they shined. They shined as supers in 308 Win. I loaded up a ladder of RL17 from 47.8 to 49.4 Every load was under an inch from my 23" 308 Win Origin TL3. I settled on 49.0 grains (lightly compressed) with CCI 450s in new Starline Match brass, seated ar 2.81 (to use canneleure) I normally seat at 2.88 . Avg Velocity 2730fps ES 19fps SD 3....yes, farking 3! No pressure signs at 49 but at 49.3 I got a smidge of bolt resistance. Ambient temp today is 85° but absurdly high humidity. All 5 rounds could be covered with a nickel at 125 yards. "Dyin ain't much of a livin...boy" | ||
