Can’t wait to get back to hunting.

Goals:
--no detrimental effect on barrel inherent accuracy
--portable in typical deer hunting woods when attached and slung
--reasonable sound reduction for supersonic 308 bullet
--shape and profile do not interfere with scope line of sight, and remains invisible in the scope sight picture
--remains tight when attached for traipses through the woods
--removable for rifle storage in a typical safe
--clean-able without complexity

suppressors come in a huge variety of shapes, sizes, price, weight, noise reduction, etc. Maybe you might give a little context for help that matches your goals...

Take a look at Griffin's Sportsman Ultra Lite series.

If you are going to only use it on a bolt gun for hunting. I'd definitely look at titanium vs Steel. Probably 1lb - 1.5lb is weight difference between the x2. Being equal size.

If I had to guess going titanium may take you up $200 more in price +/- but you only get to buy it once. If you can swing it I'd go that route. If you think you make put it on a mag dumping 308 rifle as well. Then I'd do Stainless or Inconel.

No specific recommendations from me. Just something to think about above. I've only built x2 Form 1 cans. Never bought from a manufacturer.

Not any sort of recommendation, but I am happy with my older Thunder Beast 30P-1. It has had two modifications, to the CB mount and then to make it more Ultra-like (somewhat better suppression).

I use it only on bolt action rifles, and although it was originally designed to attach directly to a threaded Sako TRG22 barrel, the CB modification uses an intermediate brake or flash hider that’s left attached to the barrel. It is, however, possible to get TBAC suppressors threaded for direct attachment to a barrel.

I know many people like the convenience of some sort of quick detach mount, but for my purposes a threaded mount works fine. It takes a few seconds longer to attach or remove, but it’s rigid and less complicated. On the other hand a direct thread mount can permit the suppressor to loosen without its being obvious, so I check the tightness periodically in long shooting sessions.

My suppressor can be cleaned like any other can that’s not capable of being disassembled, plus the company will clean it for free (owner pays shipping charges) once a year. It doesn’t degrade precision/accuracy, although with some cartridges, loads, and rifles using the suppressor will cause a point of impact shift as compared with not using it. I have very damaged and sensitive hearing so the can doesn’t make a supersonic 308 Win load safe for my hearing, but the ear plugs I use are sufficient rather than the muffs I need otherwise. I believe that for most people a shot or three in a hunting situation would probably be tolerable without protection. As I say, though, no recommendations.

TBAC stuff old or new is great. That's a personal experience view. The OP goals as stated pretty much rule out direct thread, but the reality is that for hunting type round counts it matters not.
And the same for cleaning, unless you have some odd view of the rounds needed for hunting you are never going to have to worry about cleaning it.

Why is that? Because of the need to stay tight while hunting? Something else?

My view was that he says remains tight. Now I don't know if that really means what was written, but IMO there is no remains tight on DT.
