What happens if while waiting on a form 4 to be approved a person dies?

You need an actual expert. I'm not one. And it surely varies depending on the estate planning angle. But if I was describing this situation about myself I would assume the personal representative could take possession of the NFA item when approved. And then Form 5 it to the legal heir.
