Can anyone tell me why sig doesn't make a 229 barrel threaded to 1/2-28?

Is it better to get their barrel and an adaptor for the booster or should I go aftermarket?

Also, I have a 45 cal can. Will I need adjusted power springs to function with the 45 asp can?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the only P228 threaded barrel I found was M13.5x1. Same with the P225A1.

I did find a P226 barrel with 1/2x28 from SilencerCo. They also have barrels for P320 Full and Compact, P365 and XL, but no P228/P229.

SilencerCo Threaded Barrels

Are you looking for P229 or P229-1?

Phone's ringing, Dude.

229-1 (it's a legion 9mm model)

There's a barsto option for around $325 and one by some company called efk or something like that around $280 I think..

At those prices, I'd just buy the appropriate booster for $90, just a pain to change the booster to swap handguns...

Then some people say you should get the griffin armament cam lock system....

Just trying to figure the best and most reliable direction without spending the price of another full gun

Rule of thumb--European guns are threaded left hand metric, US guns are threaded right hand, SAE.
Cheaper to buy the booster for the suppressor.

I figured it was from the guns history..

Also, looks like those efk barrels are only conversion barrels. (40 or 357 to 9) so I don't think they'd work in a factory 9mm slide.

Order a factory Sig barrel.

What suppressor are you planning to use for the Sig 229?
As long as the bullet diameter will fit down the bore of the suppressor--a 45 caliber suppressor will work for 9 mm. Booster threads are only thing that needs to change.

I think he doesn't want to change the booster for each gun which is why he wants one in 1/2x28 if you read the thread.
