I run trains! |
We have a very large compressor at work and it got me to thinking as I know soda blasting takes a pretty good volume of airflow at about 90 psi. We ended up ordering a cheap media gun off Amazon and this morning I tried soda blasting two cans. As you can see by the left clamshell on my Sparrow, it works great. All in for two cans (Sparrow and Osprey Micro) it took about 10 mins to get them about 95% clean. I could have gone all the way on them, but I was making a mess (mental note next time either do it outside or buy a cabinet for it) so I was content with what I’d managed in that time. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…

I don’t have any aluminum cans to test it on, but from what I’ve seen on these two I’d be inclined to agree. Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view. Complacency sucks…

I’ve used a soda blaster for years on my suppressors. I haven’t found a better method to get them looking new. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil
