I have the latest MPX 8" and want to chop the barrel so my AB Suppressor F4 non flow through suppressor will line up with the end of the handguard. The length of the barrel will be 3.14" when measured from the face of the bolt after the cut. Does anybody know the shortest length with the cans added back pressure it will function without having to open the port?

If you have chopped your barrel, will you let me know the shortest length you went?

I will be shooting this always suppressed.

I'm not worried about the bullet stabilizing since I've seen the Suppressor used on a p365 with a 3.1" barrel.

Any info is appreciated.

I have never seen or heard of one less than 4". And all of those have needed some help at the port and gas. I wouldn't chop it I would just get a new barrel from ILWT, but that's just me.

The original MPX Copperhead in the coyote color comes from Sig with a 3.5 inch barrel. You could order the gas port and plug either directly from Sig, or In Lead We Trust (ILWT) as hrcjon suggested will have something that should work with that barrel length.

I cut my 8" down to 4.5" and it's the host to my SRD9. It has been flawless and super quiet.
