Time to SBR the Banshee…questions inside
Is it substantially quicker to use a kiosk for this type of stamp like with a suppressor?

Or just E-File online?

E-file, no question. You got an .eft file of your fingerprints?

I did both of my SBR's through Silencer Shop's eform 1 service. Once submitted, got 1 stamp in 3 days, the second in 2 days.

I have electronic fingerprint files on a thumb drive.

I’d prefer to save the 50$ kiosk fee even if I need to wait a few extra days.

Then you're golden. Just need that, and a passport-style selfie in a well-lit room with a white background.

Unsure what you mean by the extra days.

I was under the impression the kiosks were faster, it’s just a more convenient set up?

Still the same E-filing process on the ATF end?

The kiosks have nothing to with ATF processing time. ATF involvement doesn’t start until you certify and submit. Anything before that is whatever process you use. If you have your prints and photo, then the only pre-submission time is how long it takes you to fill out the eForm on the ATF website.

Got it, I’ll do it tonight then…this could get dangerous.

Ident is who is used years ago for engraving, I’ll see if they’re still around.

I do need to work out the Duty Station vs home of record. I think that confused me when I looked at it for the free tax stamp before.

I helped a Sigforum friend on this once (I'm not in Maryland just a better internet searcher). The hard part of Maryland law is how to get the OAL you need.

I’m actually down in Georgia now, I’ve updated my location twice but it won’t save for some reason.

Alright, did as much as I could on my phone. I’ll have to find a USO or buy a small laptop to finish it with the files from the thumb drive.

Man that’s easy, now I need to pick a quality lower for my extra 12.5” upper. I bought it as a spare for my BCM SBR, but as easy as that is no reason to have an extra!

You'll love it. I specifically bought my Banshee upper and lower separate so I could SBR the lower as soon as it came in.

I also bought a Banshee pistol, used a local FFL/SOT (City Arsenal in Greenville) to help me with the paperwork to SBR it. I'm adding a Dead Air Wolfman can to it.

I have a trust, so it took me a long time to get it approved (before the ATF un-clogged the process), and the FFL/SOT was extremely helpful facilitating the whole thing.

Edited to add: I've had the FFL/SOT help with some other SBRs, and the times are quicker, but still not as fast as filing as an individual.
