I am a fan of the Yhm Resonator suppressor. Have been thinking of picking up another with the stamp fee being zero now.

My shop did not have and the prices on them have gone up quite a bit. I would also have to pay my shop an additional $50 if I ordered one.

The shop had a few 30 cal. cans in stock and based on what I could drum up, the Otter Creek sounded pretty good and price was pretty good too.

Otd will be $550 so I decided to go for it. It will primarily be used on large caliber bolt action rifles.
Hopefully it will be a good unit.

Most youtube vids are of AR's. Not bolt guns.

I have their 556 can which will actually allow 6mm to pass through. Its low flow but the sound is fantastic. Kind of dangerous since its so quiet you want to start trying it without ears. The OCL 30 polonium is on my short list. Nice pickup.

It's a great choice. I have a full size Polonium in 5.56 and it's been very quiet and flawless. Would be just fine on an AR, and lower backpressure than the 5.56 version, but yes, it is geared more for bolt guns. I think you'll be quite pleased with it. For a "budget" can, it really is hard to beat. 17-4 stainless, and if anything goes wrong at all (usually user error or stuck mounts), they'll take care of you for free unless you're a total jackass.

I don't have a Polonium but the Otter Creek boys are good to go. Good customer service and solid warranty. I've read up on them, been to a couple of demo range days and then bought 3 of their cans this year.

We are talking about rifle cans, but Caniks are new as so I'll throw in I just picked up a Canik Void 9. The Void 9 is 3D printed. Initial impression after 3 magazines of supers/115 grain thru it on a SIG P365 X-Macro as a host. I'm impressed, quieter than my Spectre 9. My SilencerCo Spectre 9 spits some gas and debris back at you and the Void 9 with a vented end cap is a more pleasant shooting experience.

For those that don't know, there are 4 suppressors in the Canik Void lineup that are all designed and OEM manufactured by Otter Creek for Canik. The Void rifle cans are traditional machined baffle cans based on the Polo design with the option for an endcap swap to allow for some flow thru properties. A little louder than a closed endcap, but for high volume AR/gas gun fire it reduces back pressure. They are about $100 more than the Polos.

Is Canik (Century Arms) offering end caps for sale? If so, they are not visible on Caniks website for purchase that I could see. If no, do you know if OCL will sell endcaps to fit the Void Rifle series?

I am looking closely at the VOID-762.

The Canik Void rifle cans come with 2 endcaps, a sealed one and a flow thru one. You shouldn't need anything else. They also come with a direct thread mount so you can shoot on Day 1, no other parts needed. OCL is not going to cross over and sell something aftermarket for it. Andrew at OCL has already said the Canik Void caps and OCL Infinity caps were not interchangeable.

A dumb question, but does anyone know if OCL will perform warranty repair on the Canik cans, or is that purely on Canik?

I read a post where someone asked Andrew the co-owner of Otter Creek Labs, this question and his answer went like this: You submit your warranty claim to Canik, they review the claim and decide if it fits under warranty. If they decide a claim is approved you send it in, and OCL will perform the work.

OCL has a 6 year track record for being generous "and warrantying stupid once." Meaning, they will fix manufacturer's defects, and they will even fix the owner screw up one time. We don't know for sure what Canik's stance will be, but I've already bought from them, so my decision is made.
