Yes.

I keep a separate spreadsheet of all submissions with a column for the date submitted and a column for today minus the submitted date so I know how many days have passed.

So far everything has been approved in the order submitted and without issue to include an "approved" email with a valid PDF with stamp attached.

I do not doubt your guy is seeing the issues, but I think if this was more widespread we would hear about it more.

I submitted two eForm 4s for a guy the other day in two minutes (I was waiting for his photo so I had both applications basically done in draft status and just had to attach the photo. The difference in control numbers was 14. There were at least 14 submissions in less than two minutes. Those are not all Form 4s.

This system sees a massive amount of volume. It is also relatively closely tracked by the folks on r/NFA. As I've said before...I'm not saying it doesn't have issues, but I think your dealer is an anomaly in scale. Maybe it's something with their account. Maybe it's shitty luck. It really sucks that ATF does not seem to be any help.

It is quite odd to me that, like you said, my dealer seems to be the only example of this issue. I agree that we'd be hearing about it on the internet, if it was happening at other dealers too. Definitely sucks that the ATF has done absolutely nothing to help; though it's perhaps not surprising. Thank you for your thorough response, BigBR.

My dealer has now spoken with another dealer who also has two eform4 transfers lost in the grey area. It's a real thing, and it isn't isolated to my dealer. The other dealer has the exact same problem: two transfers are APPROVED, but he can't view/print the approved forms; the transactions are frozen, as a result. He has also made fruitless efforts to contact the ATF: you call, they say you need to email, for eform issues; emails yield nothing but a cricket symphony. I have my prints made, checks written, and paper forms filled out, for my next two purchases; once a form3 is done, I'll send them in the old fashioned way.

Perhaps this is in "contact your congressman" territory if you're in a gun-friendly state or district. I know I have had to luck with contacting the closest ATF officer's IOIs for answers.

My dealer recently started utilizing a BATFE-specialist lawyer, for some other matters; he said he'd add this issue to the workload. I'll update this thread, if I find out more.

The attorney said his office is working with other dealers with the same eform4 issue.

Dealer got both cases resolved (sort of). The attorney got in touch with the right people at ATF, and both outstanding forms' issues were fixed. However, one of the forms lacked the transferees name on page one, but it is included in the responsible persons questionnaire on the following page; so, that one needs more attention. The attorney had less than four hours in the work, but that amounted to a not insignificant fee for the dealer. This very likely would never have been resolved without paying a specialized lawyer who knows the right people.
