ibandaOtter Creek OCM5 11.5" build
Following the discussion, I haven't had a big interest in reflex suppressors but the OCM5 has my interest. I really don't have room in the the safe for another rifle. Part of me wishes I could be happy with what I have, but I might not be able to stop building.
I have multiple ARs, but I don't have a classic carry handle or a reflex suppressor and I might just have to build one more.
I've been reading about Otter Creek Labs, and I'm now convinced they are straight up good dudes and make quality products. The upgrade path they are offering on the OCM5 is pretty amazing. I'm thinking it might take me a while (2 other builds to finish first) but you might see me back next year with a 14.5" mid-length carry handle M4 and OCM6. In general I like the idea in the car world of Restomods, keeping the classic looks of something like a 1979 K5 Blazer but better tires, brakes and suspension. I like that Otter Creek kept the classic Allen Engineering style on the outside but dropped weight and reduced back pressure. I don't have plans to be an exact cloner but having an Operation Gothic Serpent style rifle would be cool.

P220 SmudgeI've met and talked with Andrew, the owner and founder of Otter Creek Labs. He's legitimately one of the nicest people I've ever met. Shook my hand, took a picture with me, answered my questions,
asked me some questions. Just a genuinely good guy.
I ordered a mount from him last month, and USPS lost it. I emailed him and he emailed me right back and was super helpful and got the problem resolved. The one time someone posted about a failed weld on a can earlier this year, he responded personally almost immediately and said he knew the day was coming where something that was actually fucked up would make it out the door and had been dreading it. He sent the guy a paid overnight shipping label and had the repaired can back to him in less than 72 hours, refunded the guy's tax stamp, and included a sticker of himself wearing a bump helmet with a suction base dildo stuck on it, all because the welding shop he contracted with to meet the surge in demand returned some bad work that he didn't catch and a bad one made it out the door.
I'll recommend OCL to anyone, any time without an ounce of hesitation.
