DESCRIPTION:
Sig Sauer P229 Stainless Slide .40 S&W Pistol with Factory Case. Introduced in 1992, the P229 is an upgrade to the P228 being an identical compact firearm often used for duty or concealed carry purposes. Developed specifically for the US market and assembled with both German and US-made parts, the P229 features a heavier slide to tolerate more powerful rounds and the standard version features a DA/SA trigger. The P229 offers the .357 SIG and .40 S&W as available chamberings. The P229 consists of a CNC-milled stainless steel slide, typically colored black with a Nitron finish. The P229's milled steel slide was introduced to handle the higher slide velocities created by the .357 SIG and .40 S&W loads. Changing between .40 S&W and .357 SIG is as simple as switching out the barrel; both calibers use the same magazine. There are basically no differences between any standard aluminum lowers.
Here's a link to a pic of my build on Anderson receivers. Notice those "keyhole" marks? That's from the forge that made the aluminum blanks for the receivers: Cerro Forge.

Those aluminum forgings then are machined at the various shops that sell lower receivers. That means that all receivers (including Anderson) which have that keyhole are from CF and thus are made from the exact same materials, and the only difference is fit and finish between brands.
What other shops use Cerro forgings, you might wonder? All of the following brands use Cerro forgings either exclusively or in at least some of their models:

I really wish more people would understand about Anderson Receivers . I try and try to explain it to every one who just wants to drop thousands of dollars on a popular trade name listed above. People can depend on Anderson Manufacturing Receivers Forge Marks (Cerro Forge) but in their on mind think by spending more dollars they are getting better when actually they are getting the same.

What Year Jefferson Nickels are Worth the Most?
