I'm interested in the mags for the Sig 226.

http://www.topgunsupply.com/si...ml#bcse-prnr-reviews

The ad says Sig factory mags.

But the third review down says they are Mecgar.

What kind of mags are these?

thanx

Also, I need a new style trigger return spring. All I can see on your web site is the old style. Do you have the new style?

thanx

There are manufacturer's for Sig Sauer factory magazines.
  • Check-Mate - Made in USA
  • Mec-Gar - Made in Italy
  • JP Sauer & Sohn - Made in Germany

The part number for the factory magazine encompasses all three manufacturers, so we never know which ones we will get. The current stock is Check-Mate. They are all stamped "SIG SAUER" which is what identifies them as factory magazines.

Another VERY GOOD option is the Mec-Gar aftermarket 18RD magazines. Less money and work excellent! http://www.topgunsupply.com/me...e-flush-fit-afc.html

Hey Tom. Hope your having a good day sir. Have 3 quick questions for you as I am about to place an order sometime today for a few things to make the shipping charge a little better for me.

I have a P239 with the standard slotted grip screws which keep rusting since I carry everyday. Are the Hogue allen wrench screws any better or are they both just standard blued? I figure either way a new set will have more bluing so they shouldn't rust like the old ones I have.

I looked on your site and didn't see any but was wondering if yall carried pepper spray and maybe I wasn't looking in the right area.

Last question is, why are the P239 357sig magazines with 8 witness holes so cheap? Are they made my Mecgar? I have the 2 standard blued ones made in Italy and it looks like they only make the phosphate coated ones now. Are they good quality?

  • Any coated grip screws can eventually rust. I really can't say these won't.

  • We don't currently sell pepper spray online.

  • These are Italian magazines. When we were not able to get the 7RD magazines, we converted some of the 8RD magazines that we have in stock to 7RD. The witness holes are the only difference.
