I have a very nice custom knife from Alain Desaulniers. It is unused and in the same condition as received from the maker. Alain was making me a knife every year that I would pick up from him at Blade show. I am not sure what his status is or if he is still making knives.

Thank you. I am not sure but likely ATS-34 or D2 as that is what all of the others I have from him are made of.
