To minimize the chance of being scammed, insist to anyone who contacts you via email only, claiming to be so and so member and having the goods, that they must also post in this thread. If they don't comply, that would be a huge scam red flag, so do not proceed.

Great advice. Thank you! Also, sorry if I habitually posted this with a VPN client on, as I have it auto-start these days. I know that can raise some alarm. I will try to remember to switch it off next time.
