As an attorney who purchased 2 trusts from Dean and recently added another NFA item to one of those trusts this week, I just want to share my endorsement!

Dean I live in Massachusetts and was wondering about a trust in this state. Would you be able to help me and do you help fill out the e form for an sbr? My local gun shop sold me a fixed mag lower and suggested building it as a pistol but with the pistol brace issues right now I wonder if it would be better to go the sbr route? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dave

Hello Dave,

We can do a Massachusetts trust. We cannot help with eForms. That must be an account created online by you and completed online.

Best,
Dean

Finally ordered one.

Question: I already have one suppressor I acquired under an individual tax stamp. Can it be added? I'm assuming I may have to pay a $200 transfer for this, but I wasn't sure. Also, apologies if this was answered elsewhere somewhere in this thread.

You would need to do a $200 Form 4 transfer from your individual name to your trust. Your instructions package contains details on how to do this. Call me if you have any questions.

Anybody file one of these trusts recently, and about how long to be approved ? Have $ burning a hole in my pocket for a can, and debating trust or individual.

Quick bump to report that years after he first prepared it, my pre-41F trust from Dean is still working just fine with ATF. A Form 1 for an SBS was approved this week, 32 days after eForms submission.

Dean's continuing support (like the 41F "amendment" process for Responsible Parties) rocks.

Mountain Man - Dean can produce a Trust in 48 hours. The ATF takes over 300 days to process a paper Trust . USPS adds another month.
I would recommend a Trust - there is no resale market for used suppressors. A Trust allows transfer to a named Trustee. A Trust is a legal document for NFA items and firearms. Trusts can be amended.

Dean I need to establish a NFA trust. I have the option of using the Silencer Shop kiosk at the dealer I used. How does your trust compare to the trust available at the Silencer Shop kiosk? They offer a "one shot" trust and a "traditional" trust. I am pretty sure their traditional trust would be what I should be comparing to your offering. Maybe this is best discussed via phone, I just thought others may have the same question. I will plan to attempt to contact you via phone tomorrow as well.
