Would anyone out there have a replacement rear sight for a P230? The sight on mine is in need of replacement. Numrich does not have any and in poking around the interwebs, I have not found one. So before I make one, I had thought someone might have one to spare for modest some or?

If it happens, it's almost a guarantee that they're scammers. Insist that they must also post in this thread. Help SIGforum weed out these scumbags. Granted, a rear sight might not be much money, but we still need to be vigilant.

What size....#6 or # 8 ?

230 sights aren’t numbered. The rear has a “+” or a “-“ or no marking (which is standard).

And…I found them! I have unmarked sights that measure .215” and I have “+” sights that measure .203”.

I am uploading some photos I took this evening, not the greatest, but it should give you the idea. I haven't had the pistol long; it has not had a strip down and trip to the ultrasonic cleaner. Looks like some dried up gak and maybe some of the bad orange stuff too, but it functions perfectly and was a bargain as a surplus find. I used my trusty old calipers, I need to upgrade them, but they have gotten me by for many years. As you can see, the rear sight is really buggered. The front is milled out of the slide and is in pretty good shape. The rear has no markings on it of any kind and when I use the depth gauge on my calipers, keeping it as straight and true to level and perpendicular to the base of the dove tail and top of the sight (the left side give me a straighter edge), I consistently get .210 or .211, probably due to the age and inexpensive tool. BTW, that scratch on the slide was there when I got the gun. It's going to be a pocket pistol and will continue to get a patina, but that rear sight bothers me.

The caliper was laying on the bench, so I wasn't holding it true and I did measure enough times to drive myself half bat-nuts.
