Mora has expanded their product line with some practical designs with multiple sheath mounting solutions. Every knife guy should have a least a couple of Moras in their collection. They represent some of the best values in practical using knives.

Is it just me, or is it just a recycle of the Bushcraft model, with the Risberg being a recycle of the Basic model? The compact model not having a compact sheath is a misstep.

Good value indeed. I have bought a bunch of Morakniv Companion knives since hearing about them on this forum. One can always find the Companion model for under $20, and I have gotten some for under $10 on sale.

I don't own any but they have made nice gifts for friends. "Nature scares me" a quote by my friend Bob after a rough day at sea.

Some of their Craftline knives are improbably tough. For instance, the Mora Robust, which is all of 17 bucks on Amazon right now. The only question is, why don't you have one?

Where can you buy these?

The series was announced just two days ago. I don't think they're yet available.

I didn't have any recent models for years because the price was so low. How could they be any good? A few years ago I broke down and bought a couple on Amazon and keep them around at work as resharpen-able box cutters and general purpose. They really are a great value. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

I'll be testing that later today once my new $11 Basic 511 shows up.

If you want to see how durable the Robust really is, take a look at the last couple of minutes of this video from the crazy Joe X.

Watching the whole video shows how tough the Robust is. I was going to order one, but settled for the thinner blade Basic because I just want a knife and not another sharpened pry bar. A conundrum: Had to go out to the truck and get my truck knife:

I used to see them available at very low prices on WOOT.com I bought a bunch and gave several away as gifts. I kept about 6 and thought I would use them as steak knives. They are still unused in the drawer. I can't bring myself to actually use them because they look so nice.

I have way to many. Last count was 15. From the Clipper to several Garbergs in carbon and stainless. Looking forward to the new line. My wallet is already complaining. Keep your weapon handy, live free and prosper.

The only problem with Mora knives is after you use one, you will permanently lose any thoughts of buying any other outdoor knife for the rest of your life. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

I wouldn’t go that far…there’s plenty of fine blades out there, and many who want to create memories with something more than a $20 knife, particular if you’d be looking to do something sentimental -like hand it down to the next generation when the time comes… That being said…Moras are awesome users…they’ll do many tasks better than a lot of high$$ cutlery…and they’re so inexpensive, you won’t hesitate- at all - to use them… I’ve got a SS Companion that’s been put to go use in the garage and around the house…ALOT more use than my ‘big name’ knives…Why? Cuz it’s usually right at hand and more than up to the task… Ding ‘em, beat on ‘em, drop ‘em, chuck ‘em in the tool box…whatever…use ‘em like the tool they are. I do like the handle/guard profile on the new Amberg model…I’ll have to check them out… $.02 worth/YMMV, A real life Sisyphus... "It's not the critic who counts..." TR Exodus 23.2: Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong... Despite some people's claims to the contrary, 5 lbs. is actually different than 12 lbs. It's never simple/easy.
