I like Chaves knives but I don't like the production models made in China. I also don't like the polarizing clip he uses. Just give me an option of a regular clip. Not everyone is trying to walk around with "The Punisher" logos.

I love getting a knife made by Reate that’s under $600.
But I’m more concerned about quality & design than location of production.
Love my Hinderers though they tend to be kinda boring to look at.
Ramon Chaves production capabilities can’t currently match pace with demand.
Collaboration with Reate will hopefully lead to them financially being able to up their US made production.
FYI all new releases in 2021 will come with a plain clip for those who don’t care for Chaves knives logo clips.

They are nice knives so long as a person doesn’t mind thumb studs.
A few friends of mine bought them as they liked the look & feel but they were into “flippers” and decided they weren’t fidgety enough Roll Eyes.

The knife design itself looks nice on most of them.
I don't care for the skull stuff, "Tactical", or where they're made.

Limited availability has driven the prices up on the secondary market.
$330-$350 for them new but $500-$600 on the secondary market is common.

I swear every time I read a knife thread started by GrumpyBiker, I end of spending a few hundred dollars. On the positive side, my knife collection grows each time as well.

Those do look very nice. I'll have to swing into BMC Tactical next time I'm on the northwest side of ABQ to check them out in person.
