At the urging of my wife, I was sorting thru some of my crap yesterday. In a box I had forgotten I found a bunch of neat stuff. Among the items was a folding lock back knife, tanto blade, half-serrated. The interesting thing about I was the markings. The blade has the Balisong butterfly, underneath which "Benchmade" is inscribed and "U.S.A." Anyone have any info on this knife? I vaguely remember carrying it decades ago.

Thanks! Now I know the model number. Mine's an uncoated blade and partially serrated.

Stryker with a thumb "disc" instead of a stud? (they made axis lock ones as well.) Extra screw up front is odd.

Yes, with a 'Thumb Stud'. I picked mine up in (I think) 1999 from a knife store at, what's now, the Park North mall in San Antonio. "Cedat Fortuna Peritis"
