Funny, must be something about Osborne’s. I have also lost two of them. Fortunately, I found one of them in the woods about 8 months after loosing it. I retraced my route multiple times and finally located it. Also lost a Buck Zipper and a Benchmade rescue hook. Two separate occasions but the same cause - after cleaning deer in poor lighting I laid them on the tailgate of my truck and drove off causing them to fall off at some point.

Spyderco Q

I forgot to take it out of my car at a full-service car wash station, and I'm pretty sure one of the attendants stole it. Mad

Years ago I lent my Son my Al Mar Buzzard folder for a scout project where they were learning about knife use. It slipped my mind that he had it.
weeks later It dawned on me that I never got it back.
I always hope that someday I will find it.

My first ever knife as a kid, a cheap Barlow, is rusting away in a woods somewhere in Ohio.

My first Swiss Army Knife, a Victorinox Spartan with blue scales, is lying somewhere in the Krkonose Mountains near Pec Pod Snezkou in northern Czech Republic.

My Zero Tolerance ZT0350 is somewhere in Bodega Bay, CA...unless somebody found it in the in-law's Air BNB and took it. I might have lost it there, or it could have been down on the beach. The last I remember using it was cutting up some food in the kitchen.

My first green mini CQC7. I lost it while mountain biking at East Fork Lake.

Amazingly, I was able to find another, whose serial number was within 50 of the one I lost.

I carried a green mimi CQC7 or (painted scales) mini A-100 for over 20 years.

Over my 72 years on this earth I’ve lost my share…mostly were various Case knives (mostly 3 blade Stockman) mixed in with a Schrade or two thrown into the mix Frown…however, the lost knife that still grieves the most was a Rigid Black Feather folder purchased in the 70s…I actually lost it twice…first time it went MIA for 6 years after mounting a Hunter ceiling fan (I actually don’t remember using it…I used my wire strippers to wire the the fan up)…I found it on top of the fan body when I removed the fan after I sold the house in Georgia (RR job transfer from Atlanta to Chattanooga)…to take it down and re-install it at our new house in Tennessee (Hunter ceiling fans were pretty spendy back then…its still going strong after 40+ or so years Razz)…however the Rigid folder was again lost sometime during the building of my back porch and deck…I searched the area but it was not to be found Frown

I also lost and thankfully found another Rigid knife…it was a Rigid Caribou sheath knife that I dropped next to my truck after returning from my deer stand…I actually didn’t miss it till I got home and unpacked everything…the next Saturday was the last day of the season so headed back to hunt that last day …I always parked my truck in the same spot when I camped (leased land)…after I got there…a little quick search of the area turned it up about two feet away from where I parked and camped the week before…thankfully I still have this knife and it’s dressed quite a few deer over it’s career…back in the day Rigid knives were my favorites. Cool

Back in about 2000 or so, I lost a near new Spyderco after tying some 2x4’s onto the roof of my 88 Jeep Wagoneer ltd (think Cherokee with wood stickers and 4 headlights instead of 2) at Home Depot. I left it on the roof, drove off, and realized my mistake within a minute or two. Wherever it fell off, I’m sure someone scored it immediately… probably watched it fall off Frown

I've lost more of these than I can count. Good thing is they're still being made. If I have pants on, there's one in my pocket and has been for over 50 years. I keep 2 spares just in case I lose a second one before a replacement gets here.

Lost a Mora one time while fishing. I left it laying on the bench on the dock, and somehow hit it. I heard the splash and knew immediately what it was.
The other one that sticks out was a Case XX Sodbuster with a bright orange grip, bought specifically so I wouldn't lose it. Well, that didn't turn out like I planned. Lost it in a rental house in Destin and never got it back.

Funny update: I was searching my wife's vehicle the other day for something, and opened the little compartment on top of the dash. Damned if the orange Sodbuster wasn't in there! We drove her vehicle to Florida on that trip and I guess I put it in there for some reason and forgot it.

The same time I got my CPL I bought a Spyderco Delica at Metropolitan Police Supply outside of Detroit. Nobody around my area carried Spyderco, Buck, Case and knockoffs were all around.

It flipped out of my pocket, either in the gun shop I worked at or at Kroger where I stopped on the way home. I had that one at the time for eighteen years. Never found it.

The gun store closed down three years ago, the family and I removed everything inside there, didn’t find it so it was probably dropped at Kroger. I checked Lost and Found on the off chance someone turned it in to no avail.

I've had a Cold Steel Gunsite folder since the early 90's. Over the last 35 years I've lost and found it several times; sometimes couldn't find it for a couple years. The last time I lost it, was on my BIL's property riding in his sxs. I think it was yanked out of my pocket by a limb in a thick area. Anywho, he calls about 6 mos after I lost it, saying he found it, a little rusty. Not as tight as when new, but I have beat on it. Cutting wiring harnesses, prying, opening hundreds of bags of sackcrete, etc. I'm a Cold Steel guy.

Lost an Enlan Bee when I was on a budget. Think it fell out on a Karting track.

Lost a Kershaw Scallion when I forgot it was on me when we went to a show & flagged the metal detector. Tried to hide it outside the venue, but it was gone when we left. Was too far to run it back to the car.

I have several rusted by smoke and water in the house fire following The Incident, but the one I just flat lost that I miss the most is my Gerber LST. Nothing fancy or expensive except that a knife shop put a thumb stud on the blade and my gunsmith checkered it.
