We went to see Jimmy Webb a couple weekends ago. I asked him to sign a trapper for me for obvious reasons.

Jimmy Webb is the songwriter that wrote, "Wichita Lineman".

That's the one I had as a teenager in the sixties. Can't remember what happened to it.

I love Trappers but the only one I own is a yellow handled Slimline with a single clip point blade.

I have eight Case Trappers. Most are bone or stag handles and I have one set of Davy Crockett and two other guys. These Trappers are among a full set of 30 Case knives I am saving for my Grandsons to have some day. I will buy more Trappers, They are good knives.

YES, I have been collecting Trappers for several years now. I have 8 of them. I enjoy these knives as well as Sowbellies and Saddle Horns. Collect them all. Have a few other such as two tooth picks and a Stockman or two. I just enjoy knives. Started recently buying some Great Eastern Cutlery knives. Wow am I impressed with them. Some of the best I have ever seen.

Copperlock is my favorite pattern.

Followed by Canoe.

Generally prefer the locking blades though.

But I collect many of their different patterns ... mostly in natural materials but also have a few synthetics.

I love case knives. The trapper is my favorite. If I found one for $20, I'd buy them all.

I have "a few" Case knives, but my only trapper is a mini-trapper.
