The Emerson Thread...
The Emerson Barrett is going for over that on ebay ($190-205) so another way of confirming you are doing fine.

The knife is just a secondary purchase. The real goal here is to reverse engineer me an M82A1 Rifle using those dummy .50 Cal rounds... Razz

Czechvar, I have to agree with what you said about the Barret knife. It looks to be a damn fine knife!

The Blade is, I believe, unique to this knife. But the Grip was taken from the HMMV-K and the M82A1 like perforations were added to take on a similar appearance to the rifle. They both came out around 2002-2003.

Well...I can change my mind sometimes. Like fer instance this week...I really did want that Barrett M-50, so I reordered it, and those two .50 Dummy rounds...and a little T-Shirt. Don't know where my heads at recently...I mean really, what was I thinking cancelling an order from Barrett-Emerson on the 4th of July? Smile

Don't cancel the order again. If I had the money available, I'd order me that knife. It really looks like a kick ass blade. We actually have that rifle at the gun shop I work at. We got it used, so we took it to the range. Pretty sweet, and it really doesn't kick as much as you'd think. It has a big blast, but the Barret manages recoil very well. Looking forward to hearing about the knife after you get it.

Promise...I'll post a picture of it.

You lucky duck...You shot a Barrett. I've only seen it on TV, but it looks like it'd rip your shoulder off. How far were your targets?

Just a quick note. The M-50 came today...Barrett shipped it so fast the cancellation didn't happen. So I hope they don't ship the second order... Smile

I'll get the pics later...

The knife is dated 2004...Cool by me, it's perfect like it was made yesterday. The G10 is interesting...a much less aggressive texture, almost smooth.

And those two .50 cal dummy rounds are awesome...I'm going to get three more and put 'em in a sidesaddle on my Marlin 60...The guys at the Range will have a cow.

Only 200 yds out, so it was like shooting a .22 at 50 yds. It really wasn't very challenging. In fact, I liked shooting the Savage 110 in 338 Lapua Magnum better, but it wasn't much of a challenge at 200 yds either. They needed to be stretched out to 600 yds or more, but I've only shot AR's that far. I just never seemed to have the right rifle at the right times.

Looking forward to seeing more of that Emerson.

OK Ladies and Gents...Emerson bumped up production on the Super Karambits. The Stonewashed SK is in final assembly and they are taking orders now at $307 plus shipping.

http://emersonknives.com/shop/...s/super-karambit-bt/

The Black Super Karambits are not ready just yet, but will be soon at about $313.

Both versions are in high demand, and will sell out fast...I don't even know if many will make it out the door to their Prestige Dealers...That last batch or regular Karambits hasn't shown up anywhere else that I've seen.

Any chance of getting this thread to be a "sticky" here?

I doubt it. Para reserves Sticky's for bigger stuff like Florks Lube Guide where people need to refer back to it periodically. Or a long term review on interesting guns. Or Hot Current info he wants everyone to see.

I think this has been a fun and informative Thread, but I don't think it rises to the Sticky level.

I decided I like that Orange a lot. Kind of reminds me of the Zombie Roadhouses with the luminous Toxic Green G10...

Not black, so it doesn't scare sheep as evil. It's safety orange, so it is friendly and helpful.

So Chuck, I'm at USN tonight looking around...made a few basic posts with my ECA, OBS, and Emersonaholic numbers. Some of those people have a lot of decorations in their posts...very visual.

BTW...The Orange Karambits is a limited run of 10.

Absolutely. Some of them are quite...distracting when one is trying to read a thread.
