It’s the Randall gambler. It was the subject of a thread here a short while back.

I love the look of this knife but $625 and 5-6 month wait is steep. Anyone know of a reasonable facsimile or can one of the forum makers make something similar?

Buck 192 Vanguard with a walnut and brass handle? It has a slightly different, not as straight profile, but it's still made in the USA. Run about $110...

Those are pretty good alternatives. Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

Surprisingly neither Bark River or Blackjack have a knife like the gambler.

An original Gerber Guardian? I've had one since serving as a Ranger in the 70's, also used it for 14 years of SWAT. I have a second that I had broken the tip off but still works well after I re-sharpened the tip, though it looks a little weird Big Grin

The now-discontinued Gerber Guardian Backup Boot Knife looks like a close match to the blade profile and intended use. They’re not super rare, likely find some new old stock with a little effort.
