My hypocrisy goes only so far

I’ve had this pen knife for almost 40yrs.
It says French Castle Old Fort Niagara , Built 1722.
It’s a gravity drop blade pen knife.
I think it’s brass body with copper tag.
Does anyone know anything about it’s possible age?
I’ve looked around the webs & haven’t seen one like it.

Any help is appreciated.

Seems to recall items like that available as souvenirs in the Niagara Falls area when I was growing up in upstate NY. My guestimate is it is from the '40s through '60s.
