I to was unimpressed with my CRK when I first got it. Took a little while but now it's my everyday carry. I have the small Sebenza 21 Insingo. I wouldn't part with it now.

It was another good afternoon. My new (to me) small 21 with micarta inlays arrived as did my HK P7 M8 slide from CCR. I look forward to using both of these.

I'll try and do a video this weekend. I will say that the ZT is one of my top picks/recommendations for a small EDC knife.

I picked up a Sebenza 25 with inlays and really like it. I feel like it benefits from the inlays more than the 21 (small or large) as far as feel goes. The plain 25 felt awesome but with inlays it feels perfect without the pocket clip.

I got this small Insingo with carbon inlays today. I like both of these a lot but especially the bead blast Insingo blade with the polished handles.

I thought I'd update this CRK thread a bit. I've picked up a few examples of small & large Classic & Regular Sebenzas recently and done a some more videos talking about them. These CRKs are fun to collect though I've had to sell some to make room for new additions. I actually picked up the large, plain Regular from the Classifieds here.

The last year or so, I've been drawn back to the traditional folders, like Barlows, stockmans, etc, & have been concentrating on them mostly.

I'd like to pick up a Small Insigno to go along with my 25, but I'd like to handle one first to see if it would suit my needs.

I've had about 18 (currently 14) and purchased all of them from the Exchange on BladeForums except for a small 21 from eBay and the large Regular from the Classifieds here.

My CR small Sebenza, and Professional soldier are my favorite folder and fixed blades. I've carried the Sebenza for over ten years, and like the OP, I was skeptical of the cost. After a few weeks I began to appreciate it more and more. I'll never sell or trade that one. My only regret is that I didn't buy one of every model while I was still single.

I just completed my first experience with CRK factory service with four knives. Overall it was a good experience, though I've had no bad experience with any knife factory service from Benchmade, Spyderco, ZT, or Emerson.

Summary:

• The overall process took just over two months. That's much slower than others but it's probably a smaller operation and the spa treatment has to take some time. I wouldn't be surprised if some of that is batch work too.
  
• They followed my request for each knife well, except the Large Regular NICA 400.
  
• They would not refinish the NICA 400 Regular handle because someone had done a Scrotchbrite pad treatment at some point. Not a big deal but I think it's worth noting.
  
• I had dual thumb studs installed on the three 21s for $35 each. This was worth it to me but I think it should be standard from the factory like on the Inkosi.
  
• The large Insingo micarta received a full spa treatment and it looks new, better really since I replaced the pocket clip with an insert and now there is no rub mark from the clip. I'm very pleased with this. They also adjusted the lock bar tension and reapplied the heat treatment to its face.
  
• Being deprived of a third of my CRK collection sucked, especially since these are some of my favorites and EDC knives.

By the way, I actaullay like the contrasting look on the scale of the large Regular NICA 400 bit I just wanted it to match the factory finish on the small version I have.

I just added the recently discontinued TiLock to my collection. It's definitely unique but I can't say I like it as much as my other CRKs.









Updated CRK group photo, though taken just before acquiring the TiLock, and a video discussing Pelican storage along with a tour of the knives.

I picked up a custom carbon fiber backspacer my carbon fiber inlaid small Insingo that really makes that knife "pop".

I took these this afternoon. The Umnumzaan doesn't get as much attention as the Sebenzas. I think it's a shame because it's a great knife too.

BTT for one of my favorite knife threads.

My photos certainly are not the quality of those already posted by photoman12001 in this thread. But they are of my pair of "special" (to me) "Sebbies."

Both sport BG-42 blades. The Large (which is what the model was called back then) is a 1998 vintage I bought new that Matt Cucchiara customized for me in 2004 with the scales treated to a mild blue heat coloring, edge meltdown, and a "fizz" elongated spiral galaxy decoration. The Small is a 1999 box elder wood inlay, 1 of 60 made for the first year Reeve offered Small inlays. Convinced sheath maker Gary Graley (aka "G2") in 2002 to sell it to me. I'm very fond of both, much preferring this style of handle to newer versions.
