Looking for a folding sealtbelt cutter and spring-loaded window punch, in the form of a pocket knife with a pocket clip.

It looks like Benchmade used to offer these with their ERT-1 and Houdini Pro, which would be ideal, but those are long discontinued.

5.11 appears to have one with their ESC Tool, but I haven't been impressed with the quality of 5.11 knives.

Anyone have a line on other models from other manufacturers? (Preferably in black/silver/etc, not high viz yellow.)

If only the Hogue First Response Tool weren't as goshawful expensive as it is...

FWIW, I just inheirited a Boker Cop Tool (the older version; made in Red China but - IMHO - a slightly better design) and I'm trying to figure out where to permanently stash it in the vehicle. It's pretty compact and has no moving parts, so would finding an old one of those be a potential alternative for you?

Also FWIW, I've fooled around a bit with the Blackhawk Hawk Hook, but it seems small, fiddly and stiff - I'm not sure how easy it would be to deploy in a hurry and in the aftermath of a crash. It also doesn't seem to come with a glass breaker that doesn't require opening the blade to use.

Not really.

For further context, this is for openly carrying on my external armor carrier on duty, both for crash rescues as well as for noncompliant vehicle extractions.

So I don't want any additional blades like that Hogue knife or that Boker tool.

And I want a spring-loaded window punch, rather than something like the simple carbide point on that Hogue that requires me to swing my fist towards a window.

I'm going to give the 5.11 rescue tool a shot. It's cheap and made in China like the rest of their knives, but it may be good enough for my purposes. If that doesn't work out, I may resort to continuing to carry a spring loaded center punch for windows and just adding a separate seatbelt cutter like the Gerber Strap Cutter.

Your question interested me so I got curious and just looked around to see what kinds of tools worked for this. I don't have LEO experience and just was interested in what works for you.

This one seemed interesting with the double punches for better reliability? Didn't seem to large to carry either:

I saw a lot of this style. Seems like it would fit on a Tac Vest easily. Is a push cutter as good as a pull cutter?

Personally I've always kept an old Masters of Defense Dune Dieter MK1 knife in my vehicle. It has the seatbelt cutter in the handle (Mk II's don't" and a carbide point for windows but you'd have to swing it instead of having a spring point like you mentioned. I'm not LEO or Paramedic but it should do well enough if I got trapped in high water or whatever.

Anyway I hope I didn't waste your time, I'm just a Knife and tool lover and it was an interesting question. Thanks..................DJ

And I might have to buy one of those spring punches! LOL

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

I guess that I don't understand the need for yet another gadget.

I worked EMS for nearly 20 years and never once did I think to myself, "Damn! If only I'd had that pocket knife-style combination seatbelt cutter and spring-loaded windows punch, the patient wouldn't have died."

Seatbelts are polyester straps. Any old knife or a pair of scissors will cut through them just fine. Or, you could just do it the old-fashioned way and push the little button on the release thingy. And side windows? They turn into glass rubble quite easily with any hard object striking them. No need for a "spring loaded windows punch".

You can't fault the developer, as they are just trying to make money off of the gullible.

As George Carlin once said, "Nail two things together that nobody has nailed together before, and some schmuck will buy it."

Just my $.02 from an old paramedic, and no offense to the OP.

Why not a resqme for under $10? I've bought them in bulk for less than $1 each.
