I'm looking at an ESEE 3 as a basis for my EDC kit. I like the size and the price, quality and availability are all good. I'm open to suggestions however.

Who are the preferred dealers for ESEE? I'm not big on buying some of this stuff of Amazon generally.

I'll end up with a Winkler or Dozier in the same size range as a user, but the ESEE will probably spend most of it's life in a possibles bag.

Bought mine IIRC from the Knife Connection or maybe Knife Center? I also added the longer G-10 grip as I have large hands. I have liked mine as a general purpose knife and in my backpack when I hike the Parks.

DO also have a similar style DOZIER as well.

May have bought it from SMKW too.

Blade HQ is my go to place for ordering knives. They keep real stock and ship fast. Most knife dealers out there these days just get stuff drop shipped from their distributor to you.

It looks like I’ll be shopping for ESEE for the bag but I think I’m going to get a Bradford Guardian 3 for a EDC fixed blade.

I’ve been carrying a ESEE 3 IWB for 10 years and they are the perfect carry knife.

I bought the RAT RC3-MIL to ride on my armor on a deployment. Now, it is on my "get home" bag, and I think it is just about the perfect size for the role so your making a solid choice!

I would also do something different for an on the person EDC fixed blade though it would work well.

I have had an ESEE3 for about 5 years, used everyday on the ranch. It’s a sturdy blade, small enough for EDC too. Also have an Izula 2,a little smaller if you want to go into town, but carry a smaller fixed blade, it also is an excellent knife. Can’t go wrong with the ESEE knife.
