Picked up a nifty fishing knife at a garage sale....
The leather scabbard and blade have 'made in Finland' engraved on them. The blade is 3".

Nice find! Even has the Finnish coat of arms on the handle.
This is known as a Puukko, a traditional Finnish utility/outdoors knife.
There was a time up to a few generation ago when most Finns would have had a Puukko on their belt most of the time. And they're still common in rural areas, and among hunters, fishers, outdoorsmen, tradesmen, and soldiers.

Rogue,
Thanks for that !
To add... Talking to the woman who sold the knife, it is between 40 to 50 years old.

Cool Knife! Is the handle stacked leather or stacked birch bark?
Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

Rant incoming, puukko style knives are horrible for fish use. Processing fish is one of the slimmest jobs you can do with a knife, you probably want something to prevent slipping. The complete lack of a guard, choil, thumb ramp, or texture is awful for the task.
