Finally got around to grinding a WONDERFUL slice of Alabama Damascus steel that some may have seen me post in the past. I really wanted to go the extra mile with a bit higher level of finish for this delicious steel. The patterning is so very interesting and extremely visually pleasing. This is the Billet here before the profiling and grind. I have had so much positive feedback on this design, I had to go with something truly “useful” but beautiful..

I saw an fantastic example of some of my favorite wood from a supplier in Russia of all places and have had it stashed for some time waiting for the right project. It is a “true” Quilted Maple, for some that doesn’t mean a lot but really good material is scarce and expensive. This is real nice. It is dyed and Stabilized. Pic https://imgur.com/a/22RDcmu
