If those are 90, they'll sell like hotcakes, provided the dealers aren't forced to get the "no AC, no passenger seat" ones.

We see 8 second Buick Grand Nationals running those itty bitty 231 cubes with a whole lotta "hitting the spiral bong and getting high"!

So, I don't doubt some guys are going to tweak a few things and break a lot of things and make some crazy passes in some of the Demons, but it will be very few, given the cost of the car, and the limited number, as well as the many other ways people can make "go-fast-in-a-box" do insane passes, as you well know. Big Grin

Crazy things I have seen from the beginning with 200+ cubic inch V-8s and direct drive, to under and over drives and then shifting to all the tings run today and the many classes. What a long way in a short time.

It's a 1 trick pony.

I'd rather have a ZL1 1LE...

This is dodge's thing now, right? Trump everyone's power output and quietly sweep all of the chassis deficiencies under the rug. The cost makes it legit.

I'll keep my 2016 R/T and its meager 376 HP. But these are bad ass.

How do you compete with a demon? Why, with an Exorcist of course!

I have a buddy that just traded in his Shelby for a new Hellcat. He already has the 300 with the big engine as an everyday driver.

Oh my god yes! Love your vehicle pieces w/pics!

And I bet not one of these things will be bought for anywhere near MSRP given their capabilities and limited numbers. All the better for those that actually do snag one (and don't compact it on an immovable object Smile).

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I'm waiting to hear back from my dealer friend. Some dealers arent allowed to sell over MSRP, Ferrari for example.. their work around is they make a deal with a customer to buy a car for retail, drive it off the lot then right back on and sell it back to them for what they paid.. they'll usually give the customer an allotment for something the customer really wants, then they can sell the "used" car for whatever they want over sticker. It's a shitty practice that keeps a lot of people from getting cars.

so apparently to run that 9.6 pass it had wrinkle wall slicks (as seen in the video), skinnies on the front, and a lot of the interior removed, none of which you can use on the street and hope to survive. A little deceptive if you ask me

are those wrinkle wall slicks street legal? Seem that softer wall would be bad for cornering in street driving.

Drag Radials can wrinkle, and some are street legal.

But I would not want to try any cornering under any apperciable load or speed.

I'd be more worried about the 4" wide front tires for cornering than the rears!

I remember you told me that when we were talking as I opened my shop. You're probably right about them noticing the car, I still don't think we are going to see any stock ones in the 9's, I bet to get the 9.6 it was the best of 100 runs, on 100 octane gas, perfectly prepped track, etc.

THIS. It takes A LOT of skill to get a street car on street drag race radials into the 9's, slicks would be a lot more of a sure thing, but not drag radials.

I had a 93' mustang cobra back in the 90's that I ran street renegade with. It ran 11.70's at 130mph on regular 245/45/17 goodyear gatorbacks and 10.80's at 128 mph on 26"x10" slicks
