I’ve got two safes, lightest is 300+ pounds and the other one is twice as heavy. I’ve moved them 4 times now. Kinda getting old. And I’ve got 9 more years of PCS so we’re talking 4-5 more moves.

I’m looking at the secureit stuff, gallowtech is nicer but less modular so they get back up to 300# sometimes it seems.

I know it’s less secure, but we spend a lot of time on base and I’m considering our final house having a gun room with a secure door/vault door.

I’m thinking I could have one of these fabricated for the cost of premade units + shipping. 3D printing the supports for guns should save a couple hundred also.

Ideally I’d be able to wall mount 4-6 100# cabinets. That way I can more easily move them. I suppose rust is a concern over an enclosed safe but I think a good dehumidifier would take care of a normal-size room.

Are there any outside the box ideas yall do? I’ve thought about an Akro-mils cabinet that locks but they get huge and expensive also. Maybe even a bunch of smaller safes but that seems very inefficient.

10 years to retirement! Just waiting!
