Just remember,

Dodge = pretty truck.

Chevy = nice ride.

Ford = work truck!

I have a 2000 f250 that I can throw two tons of pellets in and go where ever I want. Within reason. At work we must have close to 300 f150,250,350and 450s ranging from 2005-2017. Did we get a couple of lemons? Yup. Did most have issues from time to time? Yup. But a lot of them were put in places where an off road vehicle was needed. I've also plowed snow deep enough with a V plow that my mirrors folded in. Once with, and once without chains.

Thank you so very much for your input based on two concise paragraphs, jimmy. Your ability to come to a conclusion without any substantive detail or personal knowledge of the situation is amazing. I'll be sure to reassess my overall opinion of Fords based on your dismissive comment about my experience.

A self-fulfilling prophecy!

Well, I can tell you this much. I have friends with Chevy's and Dodge's and at 10 years old the entire rest of the truck has fallen apart. Interior pieces, lots of small stuff has stopped working (windows, locks, radio, a/c etc.).... lots of other issues

I was in a nursing home due to an accident and my 1 yr old 2005 Sat for 2 yrs.
I've had continued problems with it missing and going into a low powered state.
187000 miles now.
But I'm not on a list to recoup any cost.
I guess I'm stuck.....

Our 350 Ford 4x4 work truck with only 40k on it burned to the ground when the shitty ESOF kept engaging and disengaging at random during highway speeds when the transfer case broke open, spraying fluid into the then fractured exhaust.

We turned around and bought a NEW 2016 GM 2500 without 4WD, but the right rear brake caliper was defective from the factory and it destroyed the axle seal, rotor and pads from the heat. I'm honestly afraid it took the temper out of the axle, but they refused to replace it, only the caliper and the seal. They kept the line and rotor on the truck. Not the best practice for warranty work. Set it up to fail just out of warranty.
