Around 1974 I brought my grandfather's 30-40 Kraft and Colt 1911 to school to history class. The ROTC instructor came in and spoke at length about them. I'd be in prison now if I tried that.

I am now the only living witness to those activities of which the statute of limitations has not run. And that is all I am saying about that. Smile

Let's see....

1) Regularly carried a Buck 110 on my belt and used it often for numerous, non illegal things.

2) Smoked pot in woodshop under exhaust fan and in my Ford van in school parking lot.

3) Numerous burnouts and wheelies in parking lot on and in various motorcycles and cars

4) Had sex more than once in darkroom while "working" as teachers aid

Got drunk on MD 20/20 more than once at lunchtime with the black kids.

Participated in a racial riot in the cafeteria that made the national news.

Brought shotguns to school constantly to go trap shooting immediately after.

And finally, built many black powder "devices" that got detonated on school grounds.

I called in a bomb threat trying to get my HS to shut down for the day. The Principle laughed at me over the phone.

I missed 59&1/2 days of school my last year. And I went to a Vo-Ed school where we were only there 3.5 hrs a day. Rest of time I worked after school. There was a girl involved. I’m a slow learner.

Geez you guys are Rebels I never did much of anything that would be considered out of line. The only thing close is that my senior year I had gym class 1st hour and my basketball coach was my teacher. I started school 2nd hour and still got an A somehow.

I know one of the forum members mentioned it but at our high school we had open lunches and could come and go as we pleased. I heard that all stopped the fall after I graduated (1990)

This will tell you the type of school I went to in Cols OH. I along with the other "honor" students would walk to the gas station and get Wild Irish Rose and Diamond Coolers to hydrate with during afternoon study hall.

Oh! Reminds me! Got head in the middle stall of the upstairs bathroom from the first chair flutist just before the state competition. Sat between her parents and grinned like a fool during her solo.

A buddy of mine would neither confirm nor deny the rumor going around that he railed his girlfriend in the band practice room during a concert. Supposedly, someone saw something. He told me in later years that if such a thing had happened, it had happened more than once, and with others as well. When everyone who is seated is being entertained, things can happen backstage, as I learned.

We had a tradition of "hauling out" freshmen (and women). It involved of finding some poor person walking down the street, pulling them off the street, stuffing them into the car, driving them miles into the country, and then booting them out. We all had it done to us so the tradition seemed to go on and on. Pretty sure that would be a kidnapping charge today.

Sorry, I was (and still am) a "Goody Two Shoes". However, a neighbor kid and I did buy some chemicals at the local drug store and made improvised gunpowder in his back yard. Does that count?

I can think of several times we had shotguns in a gun rack in the window of the truck so we could go hunting after school. This would be swat team and arrest today.

In my HS, there were a lot of fist fights. Not ones that broke out spontaneously, but rather one guy does something (talks to his steady etc) and the offended guy says meet me behind the gym after school. Dance around a little bit until one guy lands a good shot to the nose and it's pretty much over. Sometimes the gym coaches were there watching. I guess to make sure it didn't get out of hand which I never saw.

With the snowflake mentality we have today, I'm sure such and event would have the participants expelled and in counselling for the rest of their lives.

Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves.

I got to see a good one up close and personal in the lunch line in my freshman year. One of the Mohawk students who wore Marilyn Manson t-shirts every day thought he was tough because he was native and wore Marilyn Manson t-shirts every day and decided to pick some beef with the varsity offensive center lineman, who was a few inches shorter than he. Boy, that was a mistake.

Punches that sound like someone open-handedly slapping raw meat from a few feet away makes an impression. There was a lot of blood for the few shots he got in before the hall monitor got in the middle, and she got rained on, too.

The next time I saw that lineman was at breakfast-bar about four in the morning four years later. His shirt was torn apart and he had a bloody nose and there was a rousing chorus of "you shoulda seen the other guy!" Big Grin

I didn't get caught, but I'm sure I'd have gotten expelled if I had. We had an upstairs balcony that overlooked part of the library and outside of the library.
A large group of black kids would gather every day under the balcony and eat lunch, talk and generally just hang out. I caught a black snake about 4 feet long, put it in a duffel bag, and threw it into the group at lunch one day. People were threatened right and left to find out who the culprit was, but no one talked.

^^ That’s just hilarious ^^

As a Senior:
during an electronics class we rewired the P.A system so we could talk to the whole school.
We influenced some freshmen and sophomores to do our class work for us for a semester...
one of my teachers would regularly send me out for cigarettes for him I don't remember what that class was even.

I brought a hand grenade to school in High school.
It no longer had explosives in it, but it was a real WW2 pineapple grenade.

Another kid I knew brought in a 40mm grenade HE round. Far as I could tell, still live.

Standing In The school parking lot before school admiring each other’s shotguns and 22 rifles since we were going squirrel hunting after school.

Carried a pocket knife every day.

Brought a realistic looking toy pistol to school and pulled it on a female teacher that had a reputation for smacking you with a yard stick if you were loitering in the hall.
