The real problem is that once ballots have entered the counting process it is not possible to find those that might be declared invalid procedurally. It is essential to isolate questionable ballots BEFORE they are counted.

How do we have cars that drive themselves, computers in the palms or our hands, control a robot a bajillion miles away on Mars but we can’t get a streamlined voting process.
