Recently I had some business dealings with an FBI agent and mentioned that his agency has had some hard knocks recently.

His cryptic reply "Well Deserved". It is nice to know that the FBI is not composed entirely of the Deep State Socialists!!!

The grunt field agents have not been the recent problem. It's the lounge lizards who've failed at integrity.

I worked with agents of most federal agencies in my career. They were hard working and dedicated but they often disliked their management. Not much different than any LE agency or any other occupation for that matter.

In my experience, the higher one went up the promotional ladder the less competency was required.
