Please share video: A teacher and nurse on what brought her to "walk away" from the Democrats
It's not a Tump love-fest, nor an attack on Biden. It's a monologue describing how a life-long Democrat realized - over time - progressive and liberal policies were not helping; they were hurting. She discusses education, her experience as an ER nurse, the media and more.
My hope is the SIG Forum members will share this video on their social media channels. I want Democrats/liberals/statists to watch. Yes, I know it's long. Yes, I know it's not a perfect presentation or super polished. I think it has tremendous value and is worth it.

That is very informative. What it's like to have been raised a democrat from the perspective of someone who literally nearly drowned in their bullsh*t before dragging themselves out of the muck and rejoining free society. It's like hearing about a cure for zombies.

I watched this on Powerlineblog.com. I didn’t want to watch the whole thing because of her distracting gestures and vocal tics (“like this and that”); BUT did because she explained so articulately why she had left all that crap behind her. With a little bit of coaching, her presentation would be much more professional—but as it is, it’s personal, sincere, wide-ranging, and articulate.

I'm with the Doc. I really didn't expect to watch all of this, but her story was compelling enough to keep me interested. I suppose it has to be as long as it is to contain all that information, but I wish it weren't.

Right, normally I like about 10 to 12 minutes, so I figured I would not watch it all. But I did.
I'm trying to get the 18-30 crowd I know to spend the time watching this. As you can imagine, and uphill battle through a minefield since everyone seems to get news from 600x600 pixel memes and headlines. Folks can't even be bothered with abstracts anymore, and it's a big problem.

I’ve been seeing it on my YT feed for a few days and kept rolling on by. Steve, you posting it encouraged me to go ahead and and open it. I didn’t really intend to watch it all, but her story was fascinating, and I would say if it wasn’t “perfect and super polished,” it certainly was articulate and well delivered.

Watched the entire thing, and am impressed. A very honest portrayal of her self-realizations about her ingrained beliefs. I like how she is so open and honest without spewing venom to either side. This makes her relatable.
I am doing my part to allow others to see this.

Her visit to the Central Office of the LA Unified School District was a key turning point.

The more I think about it, I want to do even more to promote this video.
I think Limbaugh mentioned there were a lot of 16 to 24-old-females encouraging parents to vote for liberal Democrats. Pushing really hard. I'm seeing this specifically with neighbors with teenage daughters. Both of these guys have started to voice "get Trump" opinions on social media. I think their daughters really are pressuring dad (and mom) politically. I think Rush is right.
The people that really need to see this video are the 18 to 30-year-old females who are planning to vote for Democrats.

With just a few hours with the controller to a shock caller she was wearing I might be able to break her of using “like”, “you know”, “kind of”, and probably several other deeply annoying useless fillers. I think this would make it much less annoying.
ETA: Add “sort of” and “uh” to the list. This woman was a teacher? You could cut the time in half by just cutting out the useless filler. It is frustrating because buried under the atrocious public speaking is an important message. It is just hard work getting past the horrible delivery.

Using the words "atrocious" and "horrible" to describe the delivery is overly harsh. I've seen much, much worse.

Perhaps. She is well spoken and articulate other that throwing in so much useless filler words. The thing is, it isn’t that hard to break that habit.

Once again, sigmonkey for the win. . I yield to the monkey.
Maybe it just grates on me so much because in preparing for a public speaking contest in high school, I had that drummed out of me. “Sorta” or “kinda” “like” the former smoker who can’t stand the smell of smoke.

Steps for watching most videos: 1) Start the video playing 2) Increase the speed until the signal to noise ratio is acceptable 3) Open another tab in your browser and read SigForum while you listen to the "radio" in the background

Yes, very good video. I am sharing it with my "woke" friends and on Facebook.
As to the hand manerisms, she must be Italian-American. It is an Italian thing, they always gesture with their hands while speaking.

Here's a young woman, reared in Massachusetts as a hardcore Democrat, who comes around and becomes a conservative, and there's multiple posts about her delivery? Guess what, no matter how she expresses herself, her vote carries the same weight as yours.
Para is right. There seems to be a reluctance to simply accept a win on our team. I was so pleased to hear about her transformation from Progressive to Conservative that I could care less about how many "likes" she uses as filler. I hope she has tons of hand waving, "like" spewing friends and family who are influenced by her story.

No, it is not a rejection of a win for our team.
It is a valid criticism.
If that video can bring younger DemoCommies back to sanity, then A) Huzzah! and , B) forward it to those who would benefit from it. I am doing so. Know your audience.
I ve tried like twice to listen to the whole thing, and like, you know, the end, but just , like, I don' t have the patience, you know?
