P226RNThank you so much everyone. Rough night with no sleep and many unplesantries. I am slightly improved on abdominal exam in so areas today (less painful) The area where the perf is is still horribley painful. No fever today and white blood cell count is coming down some. Looks like more observation and antibiotics today and overnight again with recheck in the mid morning hours.
Thank you everyone I do believe the collective thoughts and prayers are helping. And they bring me comfort. Thank you for sharing your experiences which made me feel a bit better about the surgical avenue as well. I really appreciate you taking the time to write your stories and thought and prayers.
I am typing on my phone while hooked up to many a line so I will keep this on the shorter side. And apologize for not addressing your posts individually.
You guys are the best. Thank you for being there.
If it won't matter in 5 years don't give it more than 5 minutes.

I’m surprised by how many members have gone through a similar medical issue. Ten years ago I was mis-diagnosed with a prostate infection when I had perforated diverticulitis. Second doctor caught it a week later and sent me directly to the hospital, did not pass go, where they did a colon resection. It was touch-and-go for a couple of days and was on heavy anti-biotics for a couple of months (couldn’t get to all the infection with surgery). Had to wear a bag for about 5 months before the reversal. I’m now in the some of the best shape of my life.

I have never heard of this illness until I started working my current job.
The good news is that you are getting it taken care of and you are able to keep us updated.
As my father always says this too shall pass and you will be stronger for it.
I don't post a whole lot but I wanted to give a shout to say that you are in our thoughts
