I remember back in the 70-80s Ziebart and Rusty Jones were the big deal to stop rust damage along with dealer applied coatings.
It turned out that most cars ended up with moisture trapped from the coatings and rusted out worse that if the customer did nothing.
I think this is the reason they both faded away

I remember my Lawyer won a huge class action law suit against Rusty Jones back then.
