About time for new tires and shocks for the old Silverado. Replaced them about 8 years ago. Tires I am going with Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws as they have been phenomenal on my Expedition. I replaced the factory Z71 Bilsteins with Bilsteins last go round and they have served well. Sometimes it is good to stick with what you know at $305 for all 4. Though Fox also has a set available to the tune of $520. Wondering if I would really notice any improvement for $215? ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Bilsteins have a lifetime warranty. No need to repurchase (even if OEM with a new vehicle). A least they did in the early 2000s. Life moves pretty fast. Bilsteins. If they have preformed why change unless you're going for more lift and extended off roading. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Have they actually failed? Bilstein shocks typically last virtually the life of the vehicle they are put on. Eight years, on something that is probably not driven much or hard, is nothing. I could probably make a lot more money if I recommended shocks on more vehicles simply due to age or mileage, but I like to see them actually failed before doing so.

They have a warranty against defect and damage. These have just gone soft a bit they don’t warranty against that.
I have a 2000 and they don’t make anything for the front and only piggy back resies for the rear which is way overkill for this trucks usage.
Just because they have performed does not mean something might not do better. 8 years back not sure Fox was making anything for these trucks. I don’t recall many options outside of Bilstein at the time.
While they have not failed they are certainly a lot softer than they used to be. They are cheap and a breeze to install and will need an alignment when I put new tires on so figure it will be a decent time to swap them out. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Bilstein. I was going to get Fox on my 3rd Gen 4Runner until I thoroughly examined my mountain driving habits, Fox would have been overkill, I'm just not that much of a 4-wheeler person.

How many miles do you have on these shocks? I was planning on putting a set on my car, but not if they don't last.

Bilstein and Fox are both premium components. Can’t see making a wrong choice w either. Check out wheelers off-road for pricing.

Going to go with the Bilsteins to save some cash as I have some rust mitigation to do so that extra $200+ will be better suited there. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad.
