Same thing but a dryer vent is 4" and his is 6" so its dimensions are just larger then a dryer vent.

I explained that in my OP. The picture is just an example of what I have, which is more rectangular and it’s a 6 inch pipe.

Super Glue a 400 grain bullet to the bottom of the flap.

I see spring loaded versions on the internet for this application. Do a quick search on that and you will see a number intended presumably to solve this exact issue.

I’ve replaced a couple of plastic vents with these from Lowes. Much harder for wind to affect the damper
