petrDeutsche Classic car show in PA
If anyone will be in eastern PA Saturday, July 8th there is an anual all German car show in Oley, PA. This is a great show with great people. Post up if you'll be attending as myself and at least one of my boys will be going as well. Maybe we can meet up.

stickman428That looks like fun! We have had a sizable vintage BMW car show in Winston Salem for a few years.
Is this Deutsche Classic car and motorcycle show something they do annually in PA? I might consider going next year if it's a good show. I love older Mercedes and BMW autos. Hopefully by next year my recently acquired BMW R100S will be restored and ready for shows.

Chris42I might get there from York county. Haven't been before and it looks interesting. Sorting out a possible charging issue with my '77 BMW R100S. If it is solved that would be the way to go. With this weather it would be a great ride.

petrAnnually the 2nd Saturday of July. Truly all kinds from patina to fully restored, barn finds, all original. They had a one owner Mercedes gull wing one year. Someone even had a Veyron a few years back.

petrAlso, for anyone planning an overnight stay. In Reading, which is fairly nearby, is the Mid-atlantic air museum. They have a P-61 Black Widow that they have been restoring for about 30 years now.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

stickman428Whoa!

I had a huge poster of one of these on my wall as a kid. I've always loved how it looks.
Ridewv, It is a 1977 R100S. It's gonna need a bit, the guy who sold it to me planned to turn her into a Cafe Racer but lost interest. Apparently the bike has sat for at least a decade. Judging by the amount of dust I would say the seller isn't lying.
Im not planning anything crazy with it. I want to get it running and mechanically sorted then remove the fairing and go with a simple circle headlight and make it look like the naked version. If I can find a smaller metal loop for the seat it has on currently(I know BMW made it I just need to find one) then I will probably keep the seat it has on in the pic.
It would be cool to eventually build it into something like this.
