Learning about cattle:
The escaped bovine pictured in the OP appears to have an udder. So it’s a cow. Female cattle can have horns, so the presence or absence of horns is not a reliable indicator of sex in bovines. Steers are male cattle that have had their cojones removed
And yes, that was a good horse.

Didn't Mythbusters have an episode in which they built a China Shop full of breakables and then turned a bull loose in it? IIRC, the bull just wandered around, carefully not touching the shelves with the breakables on them.

Elk: I believe I can see a nipple on the “nut sack” before the video starts. Then stop the video at 6 seconds. I can see another nipple on that nut sack against the black background of a hind leg.

I have read and heard more about this story all over the internet than we had on the local news coverage. It was a 1 minute (at the most) story and barely got a yawn. OK, sure it's odd to have a longhorn in a building, but the wranglers made short order very quickly and without any fanfare.
