a long shot, but i saw a crocs type shoe (don't know the brand, if it was in fact a crocs shoe, or if it was specifically for work). i've been though the crocs site and did not see it. the closest was the Crocs On-The-Clock Work Slip-On - but the one i saw had air holes. it's not the usual crocs that you see, with the open heal - this one had a closed heal, and the breathable holes on the side - back too maybe iirc. any ideas?

I have seen those also and from what I recall they were often being worn by nurses and docs in the OR/ER. You might see if a place that supplies scrubs to those folks carries them. We have a local uniform shop which carries that type of shoes. The most common doc/nurse shoe for a long time, at least around here, has been Dansko clogs. I don't remember ever seeing any with air holes though.
