H&K-GuyQuotes, Phrases, Idioms, Axioms, Or Sayings You Find Of Interest
Just like the title says, what quotes, phrases, idioms, axioms or sayings do you find interesting?
Something like the following:
“If you look for perfection, you'll never be content.” ― Leo Tolstoy
"Never attempt to teach a pig to sing. You waste your time, and annoy the pig." -- Mark Twain???
“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.” ― Albert Einstein
You get the idea. You don't have to know who originally said it, or anything. You don't even have to use quotation marks if you don't want to!
Or you could explain your CUT or Signature line. Or you could offer any allegories you may have learned. Or some witticism, or your favorite Ferengi Rule of Acquisition.
What do you think?

I too, thought that was Mark Twain.
Then I thought it might have been Sam Clemens.
I was corrected by somebody here on SIGforum; I was told that it was Robert Heinlein, in "Time Enough For Love."

You just might be correct. I wasn't sure about that one.

Samuel Clemens and Mark Twain are the same man. (But I suspect you know that, and were just pulling our chains.)

CoolRich59I'm a big fan of quotes, for humor, inspiration, etc.
Some of my favorites:
-- Hanlon's razor: "Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by stupidity."
-- "I trained myself in the school of self-control and self-denial. It was hard on me, but I would rather be my own tyrant than have someone else tyrannize me." - John D Rockefeller
-- ""Few skills are so well rewarded as the ability to convince parasites that they are victims." - Thomas Sowell
-- "I'm confident your thoughts could have been expressed in a better manner." - Sigforum member jaaron11 (I used this at work a number of times in responding to people who lost their cool in stressful situations

)
-- "Everything can be taken away from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedom -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way." - Viktor Frankl
-- "Get them to sign on the line which is dotted. ... A-B-C. A-Always, B-Be, C-Closing. Always be closing. ALWAYS BE CLOSING." (I used this line a few times to get the attention of salespeople who seemed to forget what their occupation was

)
